Students attended a weather presentation with ABC 7 meteorologists, continued work on a civil rights garden, and participated in team building activities at Hemlock Overlook Regional Park!

Students attended Eco night, shared about the Earth's resources at a Resource Exhibition, and presented research about social issues of their choice!

This week our fifth graders traveled to DC to visit the National Museum of Natural History and the United States Botanical Garden!

Students performed at the Chorus Concert, created giant maps of the world, painted in the styles of famous artists, designed stepping stones for a Civil Rights Garden, and visited the National Zoo!

Students learned about circles, celebrated the end of Quarter 3 with a schoolwide playdate, and cleaned up a local stream with the Outdoor Club!

Students engaged in literacy activities with their families at Partners in Print, attended the parent-staff basketball game, visited the National Zoo, and spent time learning outdoors!

Students hosted a science symposium, welcomed baby chicks, cheered for our Bulldogs at a Parent-Staff Basketball game, and accessed digital tools!

Students appeared on Good Morning Washington, hosted a seed sale, made leprechaun traps, and met with their reading buddies!

Students traveled to Mt. Vernon, met with an author, recycled trash into new objects, learned about parts of flowers, and hiked at Ellanor C. Lawrence Park!

On Monday, December 11th, Belvedere had the great honor of hosting Virginia governor, Terry McAuliffe, who chose to visit the Belvedere library to announce his new education budget as well as other new initiatives. Thank you, Governor McAuliffe, for visiting our school!
