Belvedere students and staff dressed as their favorite book characters and marched in the annual Storybook Character Parade. Students and families enjoyed costumes, books, and music as they watched the parade.

This week band and strings students performed in the winter concert. Students also participated in the PTA Chess Tournament, visited Riverbend Park, and spent cozy reading time in their classrooms!

This week students brought their families to Math Night, experienced Hour of Code, and visited Holmes Run Stream Valley Park!

This week students and staff hosted a luncheon in honor of Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving, and the Outdoor Club had their November outing!

This week students went on several field trips, enjoyed the fall weather, and prepared for student led conferences!

This week students attended Teach-R-Treat where they got to trick or treat with their teachers throughout the school!

This week students engaged in thinking routines and research to dig deeper into various topics and continued to work with games during problem solving workshop. They also submitted Storybook pumpkins to be displayed in the library!

All students are invited to celebrate great books by decorating pumpkins as storybook characters! Pumpkins will be displayed from October 15 through October 31. Keep checking here for more Storybook Pumpkins in the BES library!

Students had another great week at Belvedere! Families came out to Partners in Print, and lots of classes got outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. Many grades are reflecting on their first units of inquiry before moving on to the next unit!

This week students participated in field day, helped out in our outdoor learning spaces, heard from an author, had their first Outdoor Club outing, and visited Virginia Tech's Thinkabit Lab!
