International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program

Belvedere is an IB World School!

International Baccalaureate is a rigorous, internationally recognized educational program. Through the program, students become internationally-minded thinkers, inquirers, and problem solvers. The curriculum is inquiry-based and encourages students to take an active part in their learning. It empowers students to use their learning to take action in helping to create a better, more peaceful world.

Primary Years Program (PYP)

Students at Belvedere participate in the Primary Years Program (PYP).  The PYP helps students learn about the world around them and use what they are learning to make a difference in the world. Through the PYP, students become globally-minded thinkers, inquirers, and problem solvers.

Program of Inquiry

Every year, students participate in units of inquiry to explore the six Transdisciplinary Themes of the PYP. Each grade level's units are organized into the Program of Inquiry.
