Virginia Alternate Assessment Program (VAAP), Grades 3 – 5
This assessment is ongoing throughout the school year for certain students with disabilities whose IEP teams have determined participation in this alternate assessment. Binders for collection of evidence due April 24, 2019

W-APT, Kindergarten
Administered to kindergarten students with a home language other than, or in addition to English.
Universal Screener iReady Assessment, Grades 1 – 5
Screening to identify students who may have gaps in foundational literacy and mathematics skills. All grade 1-6 students are assessed, except those who meet the criteria for exemption or deferral.

For all students in grade 2 and for certain students in grades 3 – 7 who do not have an abilities test on file. This assessment is one of the measures used to identify potential Advanced Academics services.

Universal Screener iReady Assessment – Reading only, Kindergarten
Screening to identify students who may have gaps in foundational literacy skills. All students are assessed, except those who meet the criteria for exemption or deferral.

Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT2), 1 and certain students in 2-5
For all students in grade 1 and for certain students in grades 2-7 who do not have an abilities test score on file.

Required division assessment for Language Arts/English (3-5), Mathematics (3-5) and Science (5)

WIDA Access for ELLs 2.0, Grades K – 5
For all English learners (Els) at English Language Proficiency (ELP) levels 1-4 in grades 1-5 and for kindergarteners at ELP level 9.
January 22: 1st, 2nd and 5th grades
January 23: 1st, 2nd and 4th grades
January 24: 3rd, 4th and 5th grades
January 28: 2nd and 3rd grades
January 29: 1st grade
January 30 – February 28: Kindergarten and one on one assessments

Alternate WIDA Access for ELLs, Grades 1 – 5
For ELs at ELP levels 1-4 in grades 1-5 who have significant cognitive disabilities.

For all students in grades 2-7 who meet all of the three following criteria: 1) enrolled in FCPS after the fall NNAT2 window, 2) have been referred for Advanced Academic Level IV services and 3) do not have an ability test score on file

Summative assessment for all grade 3 students enrolled in Foreign Language in the Elementary School (FLES)

SOL Non-Writing Tests, Grades 3 – 5
Required for all students in grades 3-5, Language Arts/Reading (3-5), Mathematics (3-5), Virginia History (4) and Science (5); all first attempts will be complete by May 31, expedited retakes will happen throughout and conclude by June 7
