Current Belvedere Connection
February 14, 2018
Dear Belvedere families,
This past weekend, Ms. Badini and I had the privilege of representing Belvedere at the National Title I Conference in Philadelphia. Dr. Zuluaga, Region 2 Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Menuey, Region 2 Executive Principal, and Dr. Tara Lobin, FCPS Title I Coordinator were also in attendance. One hundred schools nationwide, two per state, were honored as National Title I Distinguished Schools. What unites all of these schools is student populations with high levels of poverty and strong academic achievement. We were proud to say a few words about the focus on learning that leads to action of our students and staff. We also shared the distinction of our school as an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program World School. To our knowledge, we are the only National Title I Distinguished School ever to also be an IB-PYP school. Thank you for your support and for trusting us with your children. We strongly believe that they will be strong future leaders and that what they can accomplish in life is limitless.
Student safety is of the utmost importance to us at Belvedere! In order to keep students safe, we need your help adhering to important drop off procedures. Please read below!
- Kiss and Ride students can be dropped off at 8:55 AM. Please do not drop students off any earlier as there are no staff members to supervise and student safety is our priority.
- If Kiss and Ride students come after 9:20 AM, please park your car in an assigned parking space and walk students into the building to be signed into the office – students should never be dropped off to walk in the parking lot alone.
Thank you for your continued support!
